The automatic door has one or more movable door wings (6) with a drive mechanism (2) formed as a preassembled structural unit with control device, drive motor (16), output member (9) and sensor unit (15). All the components of the drive mechanism can be connected electrically and/or mechanically to one another prior to fitting the drive mechanism on the automatic door.
