PURPOSE: A switch control circuit, a converter using the same, and a switch control method are provided to control the switching operation of the converter without a pin for detecting zero-currents. CONSTITUTION: A converter(1) using a switch control circuit comprises a power switch(11) and a switch control circuit(2). The power switch is connected to an inductor and controls inductor currents. The switch control circuit senses drain currents flowing in the power switch when the power switch is on and controls the inclination of a chopping wave signal for determining the turn-off timing of the power switch depending on the sensed drain currents.
