<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device to easily recognize positions of memory elements mounted in a long-sized body such as a conductive cable and an optical fiber cable. <P>SOLUTION: This sign display device for the long-sized body 1 has an element detecting means 21 wherein a detecting signal of the memory elements is outputted by detecting the positions of the memory elements in the long-sized body 1 sent out in one direction, has a sign giving means 23 that gives recognition display M to the surface of the long-sized body 1 installed at a position separated from the element detecting means 21 in one direction, and has a delay circuit 26 in which a directive signal that gives the recognition display to the surface of the long-sized body 1 is outputted to the sign giving means 23 by detecting the time point based on the detecting signal from the element detecting means 21 when the memory elements 14 reaches the sign giving means 23 from the element detecting means 21 by sending out the long-sized body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
