PURPOSE: An automatic retreating device of a stack guide for an automatic teller machine is provided to automatically retreat and restore a stack guide according to opening and closing of a door. CONSTITUTION: A guide rib(120) is projected from an inner upper side at a door opening side of a bill storing box and comprises a horizontal part and an inclined part. An actuating link(130) is shaft-fixed by a rotation shaft(140) after contacting with the inclined part of the guide rib. A bracket is integrated with the actuating link, and is hinge-fixed in a part of a stack guide rotatably arranged around a stack guide shaft. The elastic member is unified in a side frame to pull the end of the actuating link facing the end contacting with the guide rib.
