PURPOSE: A system and a method for managing a module of an energy storage device are provided to effectively manage energy storage states of an energy storage device by monitoring remaining service life of each module in real time. CONSTITUTION: An operational management module for an energy storage device(30) sets remaining service life values, remaining service life threshold values, and replacement frequency values of the energy storage device. A battery management system(10) computes residual capacity and remaining service life for each module of the energy storage device by receiving and reflecting the values set by the operational management module for the energy storage device. The operational management module for the energy storage device monitors while receiving the data values of the residual capacity and remaining service life for each module of the energy storage device.
