CRUCIBLE TO PRODUCT INGOT USING THE HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL SOLIDIFICATION

PURPOSE: A crucible is provided to enhance ingot utilization by changing the size and shape of an ingot, thereby enhancing productivity of a board process. CONSTITUTION: A seed for smoothly inducing the initial growth of an ingot is mounted in a seed mounting unit(311). A plurality of ingot growing units(312) is connected with the seed mounting unit in order to have a predetermined angle. The plurality of ingot growing units is formed into a lozenge form. Raw material of melting state coagulates in a same direction as the seed mounted on the seed mounting unit. The ingot which is grown in the plurality of ingot growing units is sapphire. A crucible is composed of molybdenum and the upper side of the crucible is opened in order to be filled with the raw material.
