PURPOSE: A composition for improving cognitive ability and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to develop anti-dementia material using pork rind. CONSTITUTION: A composition for improving cognitive ability contains gelatin-derived enzymatic lysate as an active ingredient. The gelatin is derived from pork rind. The enzyme is alcalase, protamex, or flavorzyme. A method for preparing the composition comprises: a step of hydrolyzing gelatin to prepare a gelatin solution; a step of adding enzyme to the gelatin solution and performing lysis at pH 6-9 and 30-60°C for 2-24 hours; and a step of desalting the enzyme lysate.
