PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for division of galios field binary polynomial expression using an SIMD(Single Instruction Multiple Data) processor are provided to implement binary polynomial division through parallel selective XOR computation. CONSTITUTION: XOR computation units(720,730,740,750) receive first and second input values and creates and outputs a value by selectively XOR-computing the first and second input values. First and second storage units(710,720) store first and second binary values. If the uppermost bit of the second input value is 1, the selective XOR computation produces the result of XOR computation of the first and second input values. If the upper most bit of the second input value is 0, the selective XOR computation produces the result of XOR computation of the second input value. |
