PURPOSE: An array substrate and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to minimize short circuits between a common electrode and a data line. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gate lines are formed on an insulating substrate. A plurality of data lines(115) cross the gate lines. The data lines include source and drain electrodes. A plurality of common electrodes(112a) are formed in a lower part of the data lines. Depressed grooves(120a,120b) are formed on both edge areas except for a central portion of a common electrode which is located in a lower part of the data line connected to the source electrodes. |
