PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to allow a user to easily recognize the need for emptying a dust collector by alarming the full of dust in the dust collector. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner comprises a dust separator, a dust collector(30), a dust compressor(100), a single generator(801), a signal detector(802), and a controller(810). The dust compressor is expanded or contracted in the dust collector to selectively apply pressure to the dust to be compressed. The signal generator is installed in the dust compressor and moved according to the movement of the dust compressor. The signal detector is formed outside of the dust compressor and detects a signal from the signal generator. The controller is connected to the signal detector and determines detection of signals from the signal generator to operates an indicator for alarming the need for cleaning the dust collector. |
