PURPOSE: An electronic shelf label and a control method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption of a battery by adaptively changing delay values between horizontal scanning lines of a bistable cholesteric display according to ambient temperatures. CONSTITUTION: A communication module receives data for indicating from a server. A bistable cholesteric display(38) indicates the received data. A temperature sensor(42) detects ambient temperatures. A memory(34) stores look-up table including delay values for the detected temperature. After deciding the delay values from the look-up table, a control part(36) provides the delay values decided in image update of the bistable cholesteric display. |
