PURPOSE: A terminal and an operation control method thereof are provided to recognize a specific gesture of the other and to control a specific terminal operation of the other terminal. CONSTITUTION: A remote control gesture is included within an image which is received through a communication unit. A controller(180) reads out a terminal operation control command from a memory unit. The terminal operation control command is matched with the corresponding remote control gesture. The control unit controls a terminal operation according to the read terminal operation control command.
