PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a rock drill for an excavator is provided to control a rock drill at a remote distance using a transmitter and a receiver. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(200) for controlling a rock drill for an excavator comprises a transmitter(250), a receiver(260), a hydraulic proportional control valve(230), and a junction box(270). The transmitter transmits a control command for controlling the operation of a rock drill to the receiver. The receiver receives the control command and transmits PWM control currents depending on the received control command. The hydraulic proportional control valve controls the operation of the rock drill by controlling the speed and power of each actuator depending on the PWM control currents received from the receiver. The junction box is formed between the receiver and the hydraulic proportional control valve and processes minus currents.
