PURPOSE: A portable multi sensor system for obtaining geographical reference images and a method for the same are provided to obtain sensor data at a position and in a direction where a user desires by joining a video camera and GPS/MEMS(Global Position System/ Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) without using aviation or a ground platform. CONSTITUTION: A portable multi sensor system for obtaining geographical reference images comprises a camera, an IMU, a GPS(110), a time synchronization unit(140), and an image estimating unit(150). The camera photographs a video for a predetermined time, thereby storing video data in a first storing member. The IMU hourly obtains posture data, thereby storing in a second storing member. The time synchronization unit samplings image data with respect to the time obtained the posture data and position data, thereby outputting the video data synchronized to each other and the corresponding posture data and position data. The image estimating unit generates initial terrain point coordinates with respect to each synchronized image of the video data by using an initial outside element that the synchronized corresponding posture data and position data are converted and estimates a final outside element and terrain point coordinates with respect to the each image. |
