PURPOSE: An upender for a coil packing device is provided to save time and efforts required for changing the position of a coil by enabling the coil to easily move to a position for easily packing the coil during a packing process of the coil. CONSTITUTION: An upender for a coil packing device comprises a main frame(200), a placing unit, and a rotating part(700). The placing unit is shaft-coupled to the main frame to be rotated and comprises a first placing member and a second placing member. The first placing member is extended to a direction crossing with a center line of rotation to form a placing surface on which a coil is placed conveyed by a conveying part. The second placing member is extended to a direction longitudinally crossing with the first placing member. The rotating part rotates the placing unit in order to rotate the coil to change the extended direction of the center line of the coil facing a longitudinal direction of the conveying part.
