<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for driving a touch sensor are provided to shorten a touch sensor driving time and a touch algorithm operating time based on the result of periodic region-based group scanning and sensing operations. CONSTITUTION: A driving signal generating part generates and outputs a driving signal for a touch sensor. The touch driving circuit(32) groups scanning lines(Y1 to Yn) per region and supplies driving signals to the grouped scanning lines. The driving signals are supplied to the scanning lines in a selected region by channels. A readout circuit(34) groups readout lines(X1 to Xm) per region and outputs the readout signals of the grouped readout lines in order to sense the touching result of the region.</p> |
