ZONE MELTING APPARATUS FOR CRUCIBLE TO PRODUCT INGOT USING THE HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL SOLIDIFICATION

PURPOSE: A zone meting apparatus used for a crucible which produces an ingot through horizontal type unidirectional solidification is provided to improve productivity of a board process by enhancing ingot utilization by changing the size and shape of the ingot produced in the crucible. CONSTITUTION: A crucible(310) comprises a seed mounting unit(311) and an ingot growing unit(312). A seed for smoothly inducing the initial growth of an ingot is mounted on the seed mounting unit. Raw material of melting state coagulates in a same crystal direction as the seed mounted on the seed mounting unit. The ingot growing unit is connected with the seed mounting unit in order to have a predetermined angle. A plurality of heating elements is separately installed at a constant interval. A controller controls an operation of the plurality of heating elements.
