SNR COMPENSATION ALGORITHM FOR NONLINEAR MODEL BASED IMAGE SENSOR INSTRUMENT

PURPOSE: An SNR compensating method of a satellite camera with a non linear model is provided to determine exposure time and an accumulation frequency and compensate for an SNR of the satellite camera by the determined result. CONSTITUTION: Noise characteristics of a satellite camera are analyzed(S110). SNR distribution of the satellite camera is calculated using the analyzed noise characteristics(S120). Linear and non linear gain values of the satellite camera are obtained by optical compensation of the satellite camera wherein the calculated SNR distribution is made of the linear and non linear gain values(S130). An operating variable is determined by using the SNR distribution as a proper function to compensate for the SNR of the satellite camera(S140).
