PURPOSE: A system and a method for processing an inspecting material are provided to mark a character and barcode corresponding to a specimen number, thereby enhancing a correct recognition rate of the specimen number more. CONSTITUTION: A system for processing an inspecting material(10) comprises a positioning device(100), a barcode marking device(300), and a specimen cutting device(200). The positioning device calculates the flatness of a specimen. The positioning device set a cutting position for cutting the specimen into several pieces according to the flatness of the specimen and a first position in which a barcode corresponding to the specimen number is marked. The specimen cutting device cuts the specimen into several pieces according to the cutting position set by the positioning device.
