PURPOSE: A defibrillator with a device for monitoring defibrillation electrodes to check the validity of electrode status and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to manage the defibrillator in order to improve the efficiency of the defibrillator. CONSTITUTION: A defibrillator with a device for monitoring defibrillation electrodes comprises a defibrillator(101) and an electrode(201). The defibrillator senses the electrocardiogram of the body of a patient and executes an emergency measure in order to enhance the survival rate of a patient by inducing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The electrode is connected to the defibrillator and senses the electrocardiography of the patient. The electrode comprises an electrode monitor and a conductive connection line.
