PURPOSE: An oxidative thermal treatment apparatus for carbon fibers is provided to effectively suppress blasting and to ensure worker's safety. CONSTITUTION: An oxidative thermal treatment apparatus(100) comprises: a thermal treatment chamber(60) for oxidizing precursor fibers; a folding roller(20) for inflow or outflow of the precursor fibers to the thermal treatment chamber; and a protective shielding device(40) which is interlocked with a temperature sensing device(70).
