PURPOSE: A 3',4',5,6,7-pentahydroxy flavanone compound and a method for preparing the same are provided to suppress MMP-1 generation and to enhance collagen synthesis. CONSTITUTION: A 3',4',5,6,7-pentahydroxy flavanone compound is denoted by chemical formula. A cosmetic composition for antiaging contains the compound as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition for anti-wrinkling contains the compound as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains the compound as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition for anti-inflammation or anti-bacteria contains compound as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the compound comprises: a step of reacting 1,3,5,6-pentahydroxybenzene and caffeic acid to prepare compound 1; a step of performing cycloaddition of the compound 1 to prepare compound 2; and a step of reducing the compound 2 to prepare compound 3.
