PURPOSE: An adaptive sub pixel rendering device and a method thereof are provided to display a 3D image using a sub pixel which is determined based on a location of an eye of a user, thereby reducing lowering of resolution and broadening a viewing area. CONSTITUTION: A location determining unit(520) determines locations of the eyes of a user. A sub pixel determining unit(530) determines a sub pixel which generates a ray at which the eyes of the user gaze based on the locations of the eyes of the user among sub pixels. The sub pixels configures a 3D(Dimension) pixel. The sub pixel determining unit determines the sub pixel based on horizontal information and vertical information of a virtual line. The virtual line connects the 3D pixel with the eyes of the user.
