[Also in Group XXXII] A seat structure comprises a horizontal seat frame 14 which extends transversely of a vehicle body and is supported so that it c an swing about a vertical pivot axis 17, horizontal cushion means 35 pivotally mounted at 33 on the frame 14 for swinging movement from a position above the frame 14 to a stored position above the floor structure 11 and forwardly of the seat frame 14, and a seat back assembly 41, 42 pivotally supported adjacent the rear edge of the seat frame so that it can be swung forwardly about an axis 39, 43, 51, 54 into the space above the frame 14 after the seat cushion 35 has been swung into stored position, latch means 59, 75 releasably restraining the seat back assembly 41, 42 against swinging movement about the axis 39, 43, 51, 54, the seat back assembly 41, 42 when in latched condition being swingable about a second axis 37, 46 and means in the form of a bell crank lever arm 61, link 65 and arm 67 which connect the seat back assembly to the floor structure 11 and operative upon the seat back assembly being swung about the second axis 37, 46 to swing the seat structure about the vertical pivot axis 17 to a forwardly angularly displaced position relative to its transversely extending position. The underside 36 of the seat cushion 35 and the back 78, 79 of the seat back assembly when in the stored position (Fig. 3) provide a cargo carrying floor structure. |
