PURPOSE: A hermetic compressor is provided to reduce the size of the compressor including an accumulator by forming the space of the accumulator through inner space of a shell. CONSTITUTION: A hermetic compressor comprises a shell, stator(210), a rotor(330), a cylinder(410), a bearing plate, and a fixed spindle. The shell forms sealed inner space(101). The stator is installed in the inner space of the shell. The rotor is installed in the stator to be rotated. The cylinder comprises compression space(401) to compress coolant. The bearing plate forms the compression space with the cylinder. The fixed spindle comprises an inlet passage(301) to guide coolant to the compression space.
