PURPOSE: An apartment structure having an accommodation space in the ceiling is provided to enhance an open feeling of an indoor space and to improve a residential environment by obtaining an enough accommodation space. CONSTITUTION: An apartment structure having an accommodation space in the ceiling comprises story height extension portions(310,330) and a housing space portion(50). The story height extension portion expands a predetermined space of an apartment, thereby forming a story height higher than the existing story height. The accommodation space is installed in the ceiling of story height extension portions(311,331) of independent households(310,330) not being installed along a wall surface. An indoor space height from a floor surface of the story height extension portion to the bottom surface of the accommodation space is satisfied with the indoor space height regulated by a construction law.
