PURPOSE: A safety valve is provided to prevent vapor or gas from leaking through minute gaps formed in a contact surface between a plate and a fitting protrusion of a piston under a set pressure. CONSTITUTION: A safety valve comprises a main body(110), a housing(130), a plate(140), an O-ring(150), a piston(160), and an elastic member(170). A space part of which one side is opened is formed in the main body. The housing is coupled to the entrance of the space part of the main body and a slide hole is formed in the main body. An inlet port is formed in the entrance of the slide hole and a discharge holes are formed in a lateral part. The plate is fixed in one side of the housing and comprises a passage communicating with the inlet port. The O-ring is installed between the housing and the plate. The piston is installed in the slide hole of the housing and a fitting protrusion is formed in one side of the piston. The elastic member is installed in the space part of the main body and elastically supports the piston.
