METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING BETWEEN OPTICAL DISC DRIVE AND APPLICATION PROGRAM IN HOST

PURPOSE: A communication method between an application program in a host and an optical disc is provided to efficiently allocate intrinsic IDs for various application programs which are executed in the host, thereby performing multi-task communication with other application programs. CONSTITUTION: An ODD(Optical Disc Drive)(200) transmits a response command to a host(100) in response to a selection command. The ODD connects and stores specific application program information with a selected ID. The host adds an allocated ID to a command by the specific application program. The host transmits the command to the ODD. The ODD checks the ID. The ODD identifies the specific application program.
