PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an electric field emission source and a flexible electric field emission device manufactured thereby are provided to form an electric field emission device by attaching a carbon nanotube to a substrate by using a carbon nanotube-water based macromolecule complex solution composite. CONSTITUTION: A carbon nanotube diffusion solution is manufactured by diffusing a carbon nanotube in a mixture of a dispersing agent and controlling viscosity. A carbon nanotube-water based macromolecule complex solution composite is manufactured by adding an aqueous macromolecular binder to the carbon nanotube diffusion solution. The carbon nanotube-water based macromolecule complex solution composite is coated to a substrate. The substrate is washed by using the water and is dried. An electric field emission source is manufactured by taping the coating of the carbon nanotube-water based macromolecule complex solution by using an adhesive tape.
