PURPOSE: A heat exchanger for an ultra-high temperature gas nuclear reactor is provided to smoothly transfer fluid along a flow path by forming the flow path where the fluid flows wider. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger(100) for an ultra-high temperature gas nuclear reactor comprises a first flow path(130), a first flow path channel(120), a second flow path(151), a second flow path channel(150). First fluid flows in the first flow path. A plurality of first flow paths is arranged side by side in the first flow path channel. Second fluid heat exchanging with the first fluid flows in the second flow path. The second flow path channel is arranged between flow path channels. A plurality of the second flow paths is arranged in the second flow path channel. At least on between the first flow path channels or second flow path channels comprise a pair of plates(121,125) joining to each other.
