PURPOSE: A voltage mode driver and comparator circuits and operation method therefor are provided to constitute the comparator circuit for controlling impedance without separate reference resistance by using termination resistance in a reception terminal. CONSTITUTION: A voltage mode driver(200) includes a plurality of unit circuits(210,220,250). The unit circuits are parallely arranged in the voltage mode driver. The unit circuits include a plurality of resistances and a plurality of switch transistors controlling a voltage size. The voltage mode driver controls the voltage size in a de-emphasis circuit by using legs included in the plurality of unit circuits. The plurality of unit circuits has a binary weight. The legs included in the plurality of unit circuits can have different weighted values including each binary weight.
