PURPOSE: A credit card payment system using internet OTP(One Time Password) security and method thereof are provided to improve the reliability of credit card payment in a portable terminal by authenticating OTP pin numbers created by a card company server. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(100) receives a payment SMS including purchase information corresponding to product purchase request information from an effectiveness authentication server(300). The portable terminal receives product payment approval information by transmitting payment approval request information to the effectiveness authentication server. An article purchase server(200) transmits the product payment request information to the effectiveness authentication server. The article purchase server creates product purchase completion information related to product purchase. The effectiveness authentication server transmits the received product payment approval information to the article purchase server.
