PURPOSE: A method for controlling power and a display device for the same are provided to reduce power consumption by separately controlling the personal computer(PC) or the display part of a PC integrated display device. CONSTITUTION: A power supplying part(10) supplies power to a PC and a displaying part(30). A controlling part(20) controls the operation of the PC. The displaying part displays images based on the controlling part or external input. A power controlling part(40) acquires a PC controlling mode and receives a PC power state detecting signal. The PC and the displaying part are operated by the power controlling part based on the PC controlling mode or the PC power state detecting signal. If the PC controlling mode is activated, the power controlling part outputs a PC controlling signal according to the PC power state detecting signal. |
