PURPOSE: A divided wall type distillation column is provided to obtain effect of two columns by only one columns, thereby capable of saving energy, and reducing equipment cost in comparison with existing process apparatus for manufacturing neopentylglycol of high purity. CONSTITUTION: A divided wall type distillation column comprises a condenser(31), a reboiler(41), and a main column(1) comprising a separation wall. The main column is divided to a tower top zone(100), an upper inflow region(200), an upper outflow region(300), a lower inflow region(400), a lower outflow region(500), and a tower bottom zone(600), and comprises one or more inflows, and two or more outflows. During the inflows, feed(F) containing crude 2-ethylhexyl-acrlayte flows into a supply intermediate zone(NR1) where the upper inflow region and the lower inflow regions are contacted, and one or more outflows are neopentylglycol flow. |
