IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

PURPOSE: An image processing system and a method thereof are provided to supply an output image with high resolution which enhances an image on a boundary area. CONSTITUTION: A reliability map estimating unit estimates a reliability map about a first input image based on an amplitude, an offset, and a reconfiguration error. The first input image has a first resolution which is generated based on first received light. An up-sampling unit(350) adaptively up-samples a phase difference bidirectionally using the first input image and a second input image about a subject based on the reliability map. The up-sampling unit provides an output image with the same resolution as the resolution of the second input image.
