PURPOSE: A multicast method and access gateway are provided to embody seamless multicast data transmission by reducing time consumption for registration. CONSTITUTION: A first MAG(Mobile Access Gateway) senses a link between an MN(Mobile Node) and the first MAG(S610). The first MAG updates the information of the MN to a first MHA(Multicast Handover Agent)(S620). The first MHA forms the link with a second MHA(S630). The second MHA updates the information of the MN received from the first MHA by using the link(S640). If the MN moves from the area of the first MGA to the area of the second MGA, the link is formed between the second MAG and the MN(S650).
