OVER VOLTAGE PROTECTION CIRCUIT FOR FLOATING CONVERTER

PURPOSE: An over voltage protection circuit for a floating converter is provided to sense an overvoltage from a floating converter by measuring a floating ground voltage and sensing an over voltage state of the floating converter. CONSTITUTION: First and second resistances(R1, R2) supply a measured voltage(VS) by attenuating a floating ground voltage of a floating converter. A comparator(22) compares over voltages by using an overvoltage reference voltage(Vref) and the measured voltage(VS). The measured voltage corresponds to R2/(R1+R2) times of the floating ground voltage. The overvoltage reference voltage has a range of 0V to15V.
