PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to minimize light leakage on an edge portion by a light shielding printing unit. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(120) is arranged on a rear side of a liquid crystal display panel(130). A packaging tape(140) couples the liquid crystal display panel with the backlight unit. The packaging tape surrounds an upper surface and a side of the liquid crystal display panel and a side of the backlight unit. The packaging tape covers the entire upper surface of the liquid crystal display panel. A first optical adhesive is attached to the liquid crystal display panel and the backlight unit.
