PURPOSE: An apparatus for operating a drain valve is provided to upwardly change a connection angle by connecting a joint part to a connection part connected with a drain valve, and to operate the drain valve on the ground by connecting a rotating operation part to the joint part. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for operating a drain valve comprises a connection part(10), a joint part(20), and a rotating operation part(30). The connection part is installed underground and is projected toward one direction of a drain valve. The joint part is connected to one end of the connecting part and is formed into a shape of a joint so that one end of the joint part can be upwardly bent. The rotating operation part is coupled to one end of the joint part and rotates the connection part through the joint part to operate the drain valve.
