PURPOSE: An assembling apparatus of a chock in a rolling mill and a method for the same are provided to prevent damage to choke or rolling roller by joining at an accurate position because positions of the choke and rolling roller are fixed. CONSTITUTION: An assembling apparatus of a chock in a rolling mill comprises a lifting unit(10), a choke lifting unit(20), a driving unit(40), and a guide unit(30). The lifting unit supports the lower part of a rolling roller(1), thereby lifting the rolling roller. The choke lifting unit lifts a choke(2) being joined to both ends in longitudinal direction of the rolling roller up. The driving unit is respectively connected to the lifting unit and choke lifting unit to lift the lifting unit and choke lifting unit. The guide unit guides the lifting unit and choke lifting unit, thereby transferring. The choke lifting units are installed in both sides of the lifting unit supporting the rolling roller, thereby being respectively driven. The choke lifting unit moves to back and forth and right and left on the guide unit. The choke lifting unit supports the choke, thereby joining/releasing the choke to/from the both end parts of the rolling roller.
