SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFE TAXI SERVICE

PURPOSE: A taxi safety returning home service system and method are provided to guarantee safe taxi use through the communications of a mobile apparatus of a user and a vehicle information system which is installed in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: Inputted destination information is transmitted to a vehicle information system(100). A mobile apparatus of a user receives information of an estimated driving path from the vehicle information system in response to the transmission of the destination information. Information in regard to current position is periodically received from the vehicle information system. The estimated driving path of a destination is compared with the current position. Status information is transmitted to an external system(120) in case it is determined that the current position leaves the estimated driving path.
