The photocathode-grid (1) has a ceramic or dielectric material plate (2) in which a gold metallization layer (5a) is arranged on a face (4a) and another metallization layer (5b) is arranged on another face (4b). The plate has a slit (3) of width and length. The former layer has an electron emitting surface, where electrons are generated and accelerated by a grid (8) e.g. metal wire lattice and metal sheet, placed opposite to the surface of the former layer. The grid is placed on the latter face of the plate. The former layer is a sheet metal receiving radiation.
