The lock (1) has a latch including two mouthpieces (22) forming abutments symmetrically pushed by elastic units toward a locking pin (60) for placing above a shoulder of the pin. The elastic units are constituted by a locking spring (20) having overall shape of an opened loop comprising a central portion (20a) connected to two side portions (20b). The mouthpieces turned toward each other define an opening of the loop of the spring, and are closed on the pin by elastic deformation of the loop. The spring is obtained by molding of a plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a cabinet comprising a case and a cover.
