A phase difference film provided, in the following order, with: an A layer formed from a resin having a positive inherent double refraction value; a B layer formed from a resin containing a styrene polymer and having a negative inherent double refraction value; and a C layer formed from a resin containing a polymer having an alicyclic structure. When the C layer is peeled off, the retardation (Re) at a 0° incidence angle and the retardation (R40) at a 40° incidence angle satisfy the relationship of 0.92=R40/Re=1.08.
