The connection element (1) has fastening sections (8) extending from an upper side of a flat section (6) in a direction of a symmetrical plane on both sides of a middle symmetrical plane of the element. The element bridges adjacent side surfaces of two adjacent components. The fastening sections are formed in adjacent components for engagement in recesses closed to the side surfaces and adapted to cross-sections of the fastening sections. A spacer (17) for the adjacent components is provided in a middle section of the element and/or as an anti-twist protection device.
