<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller for a centrifugal compressor equipped with a splitter blade that avoids interference of a front edge of the splitter blade with a vane-end leakage vortex from the tip of a front edge of a full blade and achieves a high pressure ratio and a high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The shroud side of the front edge 7a of the splitter blade 7 is brought closer toward the negative-pressure surface Sb side of the full blade 5F from a position equidistant in the circumferential direction of the full blades 5R and 5F so that the vane-end leakage vortex generated when a large flow rate is present travels over the front edge 7a of the splitter blade 7. This applies to the vane-end leakage vortex that extends from a vane-end clearance between the tip of the full blade 5F and the shroud toward the front edge 7a of the splitter blade 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
