<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary double registrations of the same article caused by an operator unskilled in article registration and to avoid reduction in work efficiency of required continuous registrations of the same article by an operator skilled in article registration. <P>SOLUTION: A code reading apparatus is provided which reads a code added to an article, acquires an article code from the read code and transmits the article code to a host device. The code reading apparatus includes time setting means which changes and sets a multiple read prevention time for preventing unnecessary double registrations of the same article in accordance with a skill of article registration work of an operator who uses the code reading apparatus, multiple read prevention means in which, when the same article code as the article code transmitted to the host device the last time is acquired within the multiple read prevention time set by the time setting means, predetermined error processing is executed for preventing the acquired article code from being transmitted to the host device, and change means which temporarily changes the multiple read prevention time set by the time setting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
