<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a shutter operation selection method, capable of avoiding a missing blurred image. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an image sensor composed of a plurality of pixels; a first curtain to travel to block light incidence onto the image sensor; a second curtain to open light incidence prior to the traveling of the first curtain; a reset part to sequentially reset scan the pixels line by line prior to the traveling of the first curtain; and an operation selection part to select either a mechanical shutter operation by traveling of the first curtain and the second curtain or an electronic shutter operation by the first curtain and the reset part according to a slit width formed by the first curtain and the second curtain, or a slit width formed by the first curtain and a reset scan by the reset part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
