<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for modifying a surface capable of modifying the surface of a base material which consists of various materials. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, particles containing an inorganic material eluted from ceramics are electrified by electrolyzing a treatment solution 3 in which the particles are formed. Then, the particles are applied to the surface of the base material 1 and dried so that the inorganic material is fixed thereto. The surface of the base material 1 fixed with the inorganic material is reformed to provide various properties such as hydrophilicity, an antifouling property, and an antireflection property. For example, boric acid silica water is electrolyzed and electrodeposited to a surface of a stainless steel plate, and then the inorganic material such as silica or the like is fixed thereto, so that the surface is reformed to have the hydrophilicity and antifouling property. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
