<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety confirmation device and a safety confirmation method which are capable of confirming the safety of a target person to be monitored, who is not home or has forgotten to perform a setting for going-out. <P>SOLUTION: A safety confirmation device 100 includes: a setting button 102 which sets an alarm time and a telephone number of the target person; a speaker 104 which outputs an alarm tone at the set alarm time; a safety confirmation button 101 which stops the alarm tone by operation of the target person; a control unit 108 which determines the safety of the target person to be confirmed when the safety confirmation button 101 is operated to stop the alarm tone, and calls a preliminarily registered telephone number of the target person when the alarm tone continues to be outputted without operation of the safety confirmation button 101, and determines the safety of the target person to be confirmed when receiving an answer from the target person but determines the safety of the target person to be not confirmed when not receiving an answer from the target person; and a radio communication unit 106 which makes a prescribed report in the case that it is determined that the safety of the target person cannot be confirmed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
